My drabbles, ‘Call of the Siren’ and ‘Uprising’ are published in Oceans by Black Hare Press. The first is a piece of microfiction I love but was turned down by another publisher before BHP accepted it and the second, written for this submission call.
They threw her over the side and jeered as she disappeared downwards until just a few bubbles remained. Beneath the waves, Lizzie’s lungs weighed like iron and her vision faded.
