When I received my acceptance from Fox Spirit Books, there was dancing and squeeing. I met Adele (‘Aunty Fox’) at an Edge-Lit event and knew I wanted her to publish me. I submitted my strange piece (and possibly my best writing, too) and was thrilled they wanted it. From there, it only got better as the editor, Chloe Yates, is a powerhouse of fun and energy.

I got a glowing review from Alasdair Stuart in his weekly newsletter, The Full Lid, along with other authors in the anthology (sign up if you haven’t already!):

‘Subatomic for ‘It Must be Love’ by Emma K. Leadley is glorious precisely because it is nothing at all like anything else here. This really is a subatomic love story, little explosions of joy and flirtation sending shockwaves to the core of the characters and story, and all leading to a graceful, subatomic dismount.
