My 100-word story, ‘Invocation’ appears in Drabbles of Dread, published by Macabre Ladies. It’s an original piece and very loosely based off “Something for the Weekend” by the Divine Comedy with which I’m occasionally get earwormed.

The thing clawed at his eyes and putrid slime filled his mouth, muffling his screams. James passed out.
